Dancing With The Stars Results

Dancing With the Stars Results has Poker Pro Shannon Elizabeth Moving to Next Round
The poker community favorite, Shannon Elizabeth, moves on to the next round of Dancing With the Stars following a double elimination night - the first of the new season.

Elizabeth, who starred in American Pie, is an accomplished poker player.

Elizabeth, who describes poker as her "second career" has been called "one of the leading celebrity poker players."

She visits Las Vegas up to three times each month to participate in poker games with the top players of the United States. Elizabeth played in the Main Event of the 2005 World Series of Poker and won a special tournament celebrating the opening of a new poker room at Caesars Palace hotel in January 2006, beating out 83 celebrities and poker professionals to win $55,000.

She has also cashed four times in the World Series of Poker in 2006 and 2007, but again busted out of the Main Event early. In 2007, she advanced to the semi-finals of the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship in a field consisting of the top poker professionals before losing to eventual champion Paul Wasicka. Among the four opponents she defeated were three World Series of Poker multiple bracelet winners: Jeff Madsen, Barry Greenstein, and Humberto Brenes.

The online poker room Full Tilt Poker once had a sponsorship agreement with Elizabeth but that eroded. Bodog Poker we learned this week, is pursuing Shannon Elizabeth. She is friendly with beloved Bodog founder Calvin Ayre.

Ashley Alexandra Dupre in Girls Gone Wild Video

Ashley Alexandra Dupre in Girls Gone Wild Video

Eliot Spitzer's high-priced hooker better learn to grab the cash - fast.

"Girls Gone Wild" honcho Joe Francis today offered $1 million for Ashley Alexandra Dupre to appear nude in a video and magazine spread - but then quickly rescinded the deal after realizing he already had steamy footage of the hot-to-trot call-girl in action when she was 18.

"She spent a week on the bus, where she engaged in girl-girl action and got nude," Francis told The Post, adding, "I actually think she had a sexual relationship with a cameraman."

Francis said the "Girls Gone Wild" crew caught up with Dupre during spring break in Miami Beach in 2003 after she had been tossed out of her hotel room following a fight with a friend.

"We noticed her wandering her around, asked her what was wrong, and invited her aboard the bus," he said.

"I personally remember Ashley. She was really at her peak back then. I'm glad I got to her before Spitzer - she looked a lot better at 18."

In the end, the crew shot seven tapes of Dupre footage - who is now 22 - but had to send her home to North Carolina after they caught her drinking.

"We had to cut her lose because we found her drinking beer on the bus and realized she was only 18. So I bought her a Greyhound ticket back home," Francis said.

Harry Potter Takes Two

Harry Potter Takes Two

Los Angeles (E! Online) - And for his final trick, Harry Potter will split himself in two.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final book from J.K. Rowling's mega-selling series, will be made into not one, but two, movies.

As first reported Wednesday by the Los Angeles Times, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I will hit theaters in November 2010, to be followed six months later, in Kill Bill and Matrix fashion, by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II in May 2011.

As relayed in the Hollywood Reporter, Arabic, not Roman, numerals will be used in the titles, à la Part 1 and Part 2.

Warner Bros., which formally announced its plans Thursday, shed no light on what nomenclature would involved. The studio merely said part one of Deathly Hallows would be released in "Holiday 2010," meaning the Christmas season, and part two in Summer 2011.

However you number it, reaction from the Potter faithful has been, in the words of Melissa Anelli, Webmistress of the leading fan blog, The Leaky Cauldron, "hugely positive."

"This has been rumored for a long time, and even the rumor was getting fans excited in a good way," Anelli wrote in an email Wednesday. "The fans' number one complaint with the movies always has been that there isn't enough time to give the rich detail and colorful characterizations in the work the full berth to flourish...Now we can have some time for that without losing some of the most beautiful scenes in the whole series."

Longtime Potter producer David Heyman expressed a similar sentiment to the Times.

"I swear to you it was born out of purely creative reasons," Heyman told the newspaper from the London production offices of the currently shooting Potter film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Heyman said Rowling's finale, published last year, is so packed with important details that "unlike every other book, you cannot remove elements of this book."

Daniel Radcliffe, who by the time the final film is released will have logged nearly 10 years as the big-screen boy wizard, agreed.

"I think it's the only way you can do it without cutting out a huge portion of the book," Radcliffe said to the Times.

The first five Potter films have combined to gross $1.4 billion in U.S. theaters, and some $4.5 billion worldwide. The sixth installment, The Half-Blood Prince, is due out in November.

To Anelli, if Warners was simply out to milk Potter fans for more money by making two movies out of Death Hallows, then the studio could have "easily" taken the 784-page, two-and-a-half-pound source material, and made five movies.

As planned, Anelli wrote, "it's a rare win-win-win situation—[Warners] gets to honor the spirit of the books, the fans get more detail and a better product, and the extra profits from a second film not only make it possible, but preferable, to the studio."

David Yates, who is directing Half-Blood Prince and, before that, directed 2007's The Order of the Phoenix, will be back for the two Deathly Hallows installments. Steve Kloves, who has already written five of the six Potter screenplays, will write the last two, as well.

One big decision still awaits, though. As Heyman told the Times, "The question will be, where do you break [the two movies]?...Do you break [them] with a moment of suspense or one of resolution?"

Not that anyone asked him, but Han Solo, for one, would like it very much if he didn't get flash-frozen this time out.

Final "Harry Potter" movie split into two parts

Final "Harry Potter" movie split into two parts

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Warner Bros. has conjured up some Hollywood magic for the final installment of the wildly popular "Harry Potter" movies, splitting the seventh and final book into two films, the movie studio said on Thursday.

Part one of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" will debut in late 2010 and be followed months later by part two.

"We feel that the best way to do the book, and its many fans, justice is to expand the screen adaptation of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' and release the film in two parts," Jeff Robinov, president of Warner Bros. Pictures Group, said in a statement.

The first five films in the series have been huge hits with a total global box office nearing $4.5 billion. The sixth movie is now being filmed.

The movies are based on British author J.K. Rowling's best-selling fantasy novels about the adventures of boy wizard Harry Potter and his friends as they grow from kids into teenagers at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

"Deathly Hallows," the seventh and final book in Rowling's series, was published last July to huge fanfare, selling some 11.5 million copies in its first 10 days in the United States.

But the final volume is a long saga at more than 750 pages, and it is filled with many twists and turns as Harry and his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley wrap up their story lines. Harry faces -- once and for all times -- the dark Lord Voldemort who murdered his parents.

Because of the many adventures in "Deathly Hallows," Rowling, the movies' producers and Warner Bros. all agreed that two movies were necessary to truly tell the end story.

"'The Deathly Hallows' is so rich, the story so dense and there is so much that is resolved that after discussing it with Jo, we came to the conclusion that the two parts were needed to do it justice," said producer David Heyman, who first took the project to Warner Bros. in 1997.

The books and movies also have been a huge money maker beyond theater box offices and DVDs. They have spawned products from toys to T-shirts to a planned theme park.

By some estimates, "Harry Potter" represents a $20 billion business, so an eighth film will likely only expand the enterprise.

Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry, and his co-stars Emma Watson (Hermione) and Rupert Grint (Ron) are now filming the sixth movie -- "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." All three have said they would appear in "Deathly Hallows."

Warner Bros. is a unit of media giant Time Warner Inc.
