The games are starting.

And so now we have five months of basketball ahead of us -- roughly four months until the Field of 68 is revealed on Selection Sunday. Between now and then we'll get buzzer-beaters and 40-point games, broken records and, yes, probably a scandal or two. With that in mind, CBSSports.com college basketball experts Gary Parrish, Jeff Goodman, Jeff Borzello and Matt Norlander assembled a list of 68 Things to Watch this season. The list starts with an aircraft carrier, ends with a busted bracket and touches on most of the nation's relevant programs. Take a look. Get excited. We're closing in on tipoff.

1. Hoops on the high seas: The Carrier Classic between Michigan State and North Carolina on Veteran's Day will be historic because they're playing a basketball game on top of an aircraft carrier -- the same one that was used to bury Osama bin Laden at sea. Survivor Heroes VS Villains Episode 3:Randy Out That Girl Is Like A Virus S20E03 – Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains Episode 3: “That Girl is Like a Virus” aired this evening on CBS.The reward/Immunity Challenge consisted of the tribes facing off in a series of one-on-one sumo-style battles in a muddy pool using padded duffel bags to knock their adversaries out of a ring.With a man as big as James,you were certain that his team would win,and they did.The very dirty challenge got the Heroes an 8 to 0 victory that provided the team with the Tribal Immunity plus coffee, sugar, rice for one week, and a luxury item for each castaway.Here is the is a brief presentation of the episode.

The men of the Heroes tribe bonded over recapturing two chickens that had escaped. Coach and Rob warned Russell about his alliance with Parvati, but he decided to show Coach and Rob who was in control by hiding the tribe’s machete. J.T. planted some distrust in the Candice and Cirie alliance by telling Cirie a story that Candice said that she didn’t trust Cirie. At the combined Reward and Immunity Challenge, the Heroes dominated over the Villians by winning every bout. Discussions over who to vote out focused on Parvati for being the biggest threat versus Randy for being the weakest of the tribe.

The show opened with the group singing “America Boy”,while the girls sounded great together,the boys were just awful.Now time for the drama,the first set of results were for the girls,Ryan announced that Siobhan, Haeley, Michelle, Katelyn and Katie were safe but Janell was sent home.Allison Iraheta took the stage to perform her latest single called “Scars” and did a great job.Now back to the drama where Paige, Lacey, Lilly, Crystal and Didi got the good news that they were safe but Ashley was told that her time was up.A video footage of Tyler rehearsing in boots and a bathrobe was shown and we have no idea why.Time for the boys to find out their fate ,Michael, John, Aaron, Todrick and Tim were told they were safe and Joe went bye bye.Kris Allen appeared to talk about his trip to Haiti and asked people to text “Idol” to 20222 to donate $10.

Last set of results where Casey, Jermaine, Lee, Andrew and Alex were told that all was well ,but Tyler was sent home.This episode left us with one question ,why is Tim Urban still around?

Meanwhile, the gang worries Charlie’s going to murder everybody when he finds out about the Waitress’ marriage, so they try to set him up with a new woman, which sets up some of the best quotes, as well as some of the best moments. Watching Charlie attempt to fight his way through a date with a lawyer was hilarious, whether it was him sweating through his shirt, or his request for “milksteak and raw jellybeans.”

You must give credit to the writers for coming up with the Charlie, Mac and Dennis which was incredibly and made up for Frank’s stupid plot.

It was not the best episode of the show (but then again it is hard to beat last week’s wedding) but there were few good jokes thanks to Kevin’s decision to set up camp in Jim’s office while he is on honeymoon with Pam.

Eventually, Zod regains their trust. A Kryptonian woman from the future returns with Lois in the hope of finding Clark and killing him. When the two meet, the assassin accidentally kills herself, but not before revealing that Clark will cause the destruction of Earth. Just as she is falling asleep, Lois has sporadic visions of future events.

This is allegedly the last season of Smallville and so far it is looking good.It appears that The CW television network will keep their promise and focus on Clark’s advancement in his journey and will get the inside story on how he truly became the Man of Steel.Next week Superman will meet a new villain (John Corben who now has a kryptonite heart and super-human strength) in an episode called “Metallo.”

Music has forever been a very good point of Gowariker’s movies but in “What is Your Rashee” it’s hopeless. Each Rashee breaks into an obligatory song with hardly any being memorable. The tale becomes so expected in the 2nd part of the movie that you wait for to get over & begin calculating how many Rashi are yet missing & with no attention left to observe which Raashee the character in the end weds.
The “What’s Your Raashee” Movie would have been a slight more manageable had it been beneath 3 hours but a time of three hours & thirty minutes looks far excessively much. If you might inquire whether to verify it out or not there are merely 2 causes to observe this astrological mistake finished by Gowariker, Priyanka Chopra & Priyanka Chopra.
The only good thing about the movie is its nice looking posters. Total time waste and money waste. I even can’t say it is one time watch; it is just half time watch. Watch it till interval and then left because no one will wait for 3 and half hour to finish the movie. It feels that Harman and Priyanka do not make a good onscreen couple. But off-screen, god knows.

If you are crazy about regular commercial masala films leaving your brains at home, Wanted is the right choice. Wanted is a canvas painted in south Indian colours where you can get a glimpse of Rajnikanth in our macho man Salman Khan. Woah hold down It’s a Prabhu Deva film, Bingo

Wanted is undisputedly a well-written story with an excellent screenplay. But there is a flipside to it. It is a well-written story which lacks good direction and editing.

Wanted opens up with an interesting plot with commissioner Ashraf Khan (Govind Namdeo) leaving no stones unturned to eradicate underworld terrorism from the country. Radhe (Salman Khan) is a hardcore gangster known for brutality and commitments. All he knows is the language of money. His loyalties lies with any gang provided the money is right. His entry in Gani Bhai (Prakash Raj) gang under the wing of Golden (Aseem Merchant), the right hand of Gani and betrayal to his existing gang headed by Data Pawle leads to bloodshed, as disputes crop up unexpectedly. However, story takes a twist with Golden’s death, which compels Gani Bhai to take matters in his hands and fly back to India. How Gani Bhai realizes the trap of commissioner Ashraf Khan, and the truth of Salman Khan, would have been an exciting watch had Prabhu Deva tightened his script.

Cinematographers Nirav Shah and S Sriram are simply excellent. Special effects are over the top; could have been subtle. The music is awful, except ‘Dil Leke’ track, which is the only saving grace.

No refreshing treat for ears, as far as stereotypical dialogues go.

Wanted rides on Salman Khan despite his regular run-of-the-mill, yet nice performance. Ayesha Takia is good and looks gorgeous. Mahesh Manjrekar is perfect for his part as a womanizer. Prakash Raj as Gani Bhai has small, yet pivotal role and lives up to it beautifully. Vinod Khanna and Inder Kumar don’t have much scope, though they are instrumental to the pace of the story. Aseem Merchant is fairly good. Same goes for Govind Namdeo.

On the whole, ‘Salman Khan’ factor will pull the audience to make this film survive. Infact, half the battle is won, courtesy loads of hype. My verdict: One time watch.

Only You ended last Friday night hitting no. 1 in the TNS nationwide TV ratings. It was replaced with Dahil May Isang Ikaw last Monday which had a pilot episode of 33.3%.

Katorse’s Pilot Episode Missed the Top 10 in Mega Manila
The teleserye “Katorse” starring Erich Gonzalez debuted last Monday night with 20.2% which is only good for 11th position.

Another kapamilya teleserye, Dahil May Isang Ikaw, also premiered last Monday night and it registered a much higher 28.8% which is good for fifth place. Among kapamilya programs, the Jericho-Kristine starrer is second to Tayong Dalawa.

The live telecast of Miss Universe 2009 garnered enough viewers to put it in no. 5 position in the daytime race. Kapuso programs still dominated the Top 4 position with Eat Bulaga as the top-rater followed by the 3 kapuso soap operas.

Mega Manila TV Ratings: ‘Darna’ Stays On Top, ‘Show Me Da Manny’ Knocks Out ‘George and Cecil’

Darna posted its highest rating of 47.5% in Mega Manila last August 18. Show Me Da Manny bested George and Cecil on its timeslot.

For the week of August 18 to 22, Darna posted its highest and lowest rating but in average, it remains the primetime leader in Mega Manila. It’s highest was posted last August 18 with a staggering 47.5% while it missed the 40% bracket last Friday when it registered 39.4%. Last Friday was the final episode of Only You and it became the top-rating kapamilya program in Mega Manila that night although its ranking in the primetime race is at no. 4. Nevertheless, Darna ended its second week run at no. 1 still.

TV5’s Talentadong Pinoy topped Saturday’s primetime race again. The TV5 horror program Midnight DJ climbed to 5th this week while Who Wants to Be a Millionaire also climbed a notch to no. 7.

Your Song Presents “Gaano Kita Kamahal” debuted last Sunday afternoon but it was beaten by GMA’s Dear Friend.

Show Me Da Manny also debuted last Sunday and it delivered a knock-out victory against George and Cecil.

“Ang Manghuhula”, another film about a fortune teller, received a grade of “A” from the Cinema Evaluations Board.

Ang Manghuhula is a film by Paolo Alessandro Herras (Rekados, Lambanog) starring Eula Valdez in the lead role.

SYNOPSIS: An outcast and failed fortuneteller (Eula Valdes) returns home to save her daughter (Glaiza De Castro) from a fate she herself escaped – the town’s next fortuneteller; a fate handed down from mother (Chanda Romero) to daughter. She finds her daughter caught in debt and the squabble of a petty syndicate (Emilio Garcia, Pinky Amador) running a band of fortunetellers (Bella Flores) for the unwary, desperate answer-seekers. The only way to save her daughter is to embrace a gift she has vowed to give up; the ability to see the future no matter how bleak and inescapable.

The film, which is supported by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), is coming to selected cinemas on 09-09-09 (September 9, 2009).

Marian Rivera’s ‘Tarot’ Graded A by CEB
The Regal Films’ horror movie “Tarot” starring Dennis Trillo and Marian Rivera also received a grade of A from the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB).

“Tarot” also stars Roxanne Guinoo, Gloria Romero, Celia Rodriguez, Nina Jose, Susan Africa and Alwyn Uytingo. The film is directed by Jun Lana (Mag-ingat Ka Sa Kulam). It is a frightening and enlightening take on the use of the tarot cards and its consequences.

“Tarot” is now showing in more than 100 theaters nationwide. The movie is said to be well made and excellently acted and produced horror film of the season that’s why it received the highest grade from CEB. It’s also the birthday treat of both the Regal matriarch Mother Lily Monteverde and the primetime queen Marian Rivera.

Tarot is rated PG-13 by MTRCB.

Kaminey story

Kaminey is about twin brothers Charlie and Guddu (Shahid Kapoor in double role), both of whom suffer from speech impediments and they hate each other.

Guddu is a NGO worker, who stammers while speaking. Guddu’s is meticulus and has life plans made till 2014 on a chart pasted in his cupboard. But his plans are shattered when he impregnates Sweety (Priyanka Chopra) his girlfriend who never told him that she is the sister of a big time Gangster cum politician, Bhope (Amol Gupte).

Charlie is a small gangster, who pronounces S as F. Charlie gets a guitar containing cocaine worth 10 crore and thinks he has finallymade it to the big league.

What comes next is a gripping journey through Mumbai streets. The streets which have many Kamineys like corrupt policemen, drug dealers, henchmen, informers and agents. Finally the two brothers though having separate story lines meet at a point in film and they are forced to come together however they hate each other.

Though the movie is a bit confusing in the first 10 minutes and you have to concetrate hard to learn about the ten key characters of the film. You can not afford to miss even half a minute of the film as in thet 30 seconds you might have missed something of importance or a twist in the tale.

Kaminey Review

The first half of the film is very sow and you may get slightly bored. The movie picks up the pace after the interval when the storeyteller moves the threds togather for a superb climax. What I like most about the film is that it is not a typical Hindi movie – predictable. It makes you think and wonder what is up next and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Kaminey is like an action movie and black humor whipped togather in a Sundae.

Though the concept of the film is old – two twins – bhai bhai but the difference is that unlike typical bollywood masala – these twins are not separated at birth, nor they have that bhai bhai feeling and they can even kill each other for personal gain.

Shahid Kapoor has done great in the role and one can say that he has now matured as an actor. Priyanka Chopra as Sweety is again I can say one of the best roles she has played in her life.

Music is good and riveting as required by the situation in movie. It is unlikely that you come out of seeling this movies and do not do “Dhan te Naan” at least once. The duo of Vishal Bharadwaj and Guljar has done a great job.

What I can see this movie as a strong contender for filmfare awards this year in almost all categories. Vishal Bharadwaj is sure going to repeat the success like Omkara. If you are a typical Masala lover – you may not find this digestive but still I recommed you this film as it is worth having some digestive problem. Who knows it may change your taste.

The assailant points a gun at point blank range at Agent Hotchner and says, “You should have made a deal.” The screen goes black and a gun shot is heard.

10. Chuck was branded a coward because he wouldn’t tell Blair he loved her. In the end, they make up.
11. Scott meets Dan at a cafe. His mother thinks he’s somewhere else, but he’s actually following Dan. Dan doesn’t know that Scott is who he is, but we know that Scott knows who Dan is. He even has a picture of Rufus in his rocker days and Lily and Rufus in an article together.

Rumor has it that Gossip Girl,is none other than Eric van der Woodsen, Serena’s younger brother.

Kiefer Sutherland confirmed he will return for the 8th season and said the show’s future also hinges on its writers’ ability to shape its story. In a recent interview for ITN, Kiefer Sutherland revealed that the starting timeline for Season 8 will begin very quickly after the end of Season 7, saying “the ending of Season 7 is going to have a direct impact on everything that takes place in Season 8”. In April 2009, it was confirmed that the show would be moving to New York, and CTU will be featured again.

In a shoot out Calleigh shoots at a car to only find that Eric was driving. The episode ends with Horatio Frank and Calleigh finding Shanova in the car Calleigh shot at with Eric in it to find only Eric’s father covered in blood. It’s not his he says it’s Eric’s and Calleigh thinks she may have killed them. Camera shows Calleigh just about to cry when the screen fades to black.

Biggest Loser April 21, 2009: An episode filled with good lessons for viewers
After Laura was eliminated last week, Tara was extremely sad at the start of this week's episode. Even though Laura was injured and couldn't really compete, Tara still didn't think she should have gone. Jillian straightened her out by telling her it was not safe for Laura to continue and Tara needs to realize that. Viewers could also learn from this that you should not push yourself if you are injured. Your body needs to heal or else you'll just get worse and worse.

Rosemary Ellis from Good Housekeeping Magazine to challenge them in a fitness and food trivia quiz. This challenge was informative not only for the contestants but also for the viewers who got to learn various tips about fitness and diet habits. For example, a small "personal" pizza turned out to be 8 servings according to it's packaging which tricked all of the contestants and shows how manufacturers trick us as well. Kristin and Mike ended up with the same score and had to go to a tie breaker. It came down to guessing the calories of a sandwich and Mike was closer so he won a trip to New York.

The next challenge was for a bigger prize - either $10,000 or a 1 pound advantage. The 6 contestants had to hang from a cage for as long as they could, using mostly upper body strength. This challenge was about more than strength though, it was also about fear. Fear of heights or fear of falling made it even harder for many of the contestants. The height scared Mike enough that he let go within just a few minutes. Filipe decides to do a little trash talking and shake the cages in hopes to distract the others but instead he is really ticking them off. I guess he's not looking to make any friends in these final weeks. The strategy failed to work as Filipe ended up falling before the girls. After an hour, Kristin couldn't take it anymore and had to let go leaving it all down to Helen and Tara. Helen fought hard to try to beat Tara, but once again the girl in green dominates and holds on with ease to the very end.

In the midst of all this, Bob asked his team to video tape their meal for the day to prove to him that they know how to eat. While they thought they were eating very healthy, Bob was so unhappy with their food choices because they cut their calories way too much and they left out protein. He taught them that a healthy diet does not mean cutting all food in half which is a great lesson for all the dieters out there!

Mike confronted his father, Ron, for allowing him to gain all the weight in the first place. This break though point is something Mike needed to go through in order to go home and continue to lose weight. All dieters out there need to find their own breakthrough point and confront their own demons in order to keep up with their weight loss plan.

Now for the weigh-in. Tara decided to take the $10,000 instead of the 1 pound advantage which is always a risky move. Jillian was actually happy to see Tara take the money and bet on herself for the win. Tara lost 5 pounds giving her 2.75% so it seems she gambled on herself and won.

* Ron - lost 4 pounds - 1.32% - under 300 pounds for the first time since he was a teenager
* Helen - lost 1 pound - 0.62%
* Mike - lost 8 pounds - 3.29%
* Filipe - lost 3 pounds - 1.21%

With Kristin and Helen below the yellow line, the contestants now had to decide who deserved to stay. While Kristin still was the bigger threat with more weight to lose, she also hasn't done well the last few weeks making it seem like she's not a threat at all. Although Ron promised he would never write Kristin's name down, he didn't promise her that he wouldn't scheme to get her out of the house. He immediately went to his son telling him that Tara and Mike had to vote for Kristin because in a tie breaker Kristin would go home for having the lowest percent of weight lose. It seems that Ron is really out to protect his son in any way possible. Ron's plan was executed exactly as he had set it out to be sending Kristin home due to her low percent of weight loss. What's sad about the whole situation is that Ron still claimed he was keeping his promise in helping her get to the end - however by giving Mike the advice to vote out Kristin it seems like Ron really didn't care to protect Kristin.

With Mike feeling on top of the world and already claiming the win, will he be sadly disappointed in the end? Tara is still a huge competitor and no one seems to be acknowledging that. Hells Kitchen Season 5 Episode 11 - Hells Kitchen Season 5 Episode 11 aired on the Fox Network tonight.Here is a detailed summary of the episode.
* Prologue:

Ramsay did not shut down Hell’s Kitchen, as stated in the previous episode. Instead, the contestants were flown to the Borgata Hotel and Casino for a multi-day trip to see their potential future place of employment. After touring the hotel, they sit down for dinner with the Borgata’s executive chef. Robert left the table after a few minutes, complaining of chest pains. He was taken to the hospital for observation and tests.

* Elmination:

After a few days of waiting Robert returns to Hell’s Kitchen. He reports that he has a heart condition and leaves Hell’s Kitchen because of his condition. Chef does remark that he had the possibility to win after he says his final farewells to the final four.

* Challenge:

After visiting Borgata the final four must present a dish that they would serve in their restaurant, should they be the winner of Hell’s Kitchen. Chef is impressed by Danny, Paula, and Andrea’s dishes and he claims Andrea the winner.

* Award / Punishment:

Andrea has been promised a spot in the top three. No punishment is given. Ben, Danny, and Paula are upset that Andrea, whom they have outperformed, will last longer than one of them.

* Nominees for elimination:

* Elimination:

Only Robert was eliminated prior to service.

* Chef Ramsay’s Reason:

Chef Ramsay confirms Andrea’s safe since he is a man of his word and Ben is safe since Ramsay states that he performed better than Andrea.

Performed“I’m Every Woman” by Chaka Khan - Randy said she got the party started but it sounded wild; Kara said she still hasn’t told them who she is as an artist; Paula said it was a remarkable recovery considering she’s been on vocal rest; Simon said he thinks it’ll be her last week, very copycat performance.

Kris Allen :

Performed “She Works Hard for the Money” by Donna Summer
- Kara said he took a real risk and it paid off big time; Paula said he showed his originality and why he’s a contender; Simon said it was original and well thought out and a fantastic performance; Randy said he knows who he is and is ready for the big time, amazing.

Danny Gokey :

Performed “September” by Earth Wind and Fire - Randy said he turned it into something that really worked; Kara said he’s an incredible vocalist and his pitch is also right on; Paula said he showed his brilliance and he has one of the sexiest voices ever; Simon said he couldn’t fault the vocals, but didn’t get any star power from the performance.

Allison Iraheta:

Performed “Hot Stuff” by Donna Summer - Randy didn’t love the arrangement, but said she’s one of the best singers in the competition; Kara agreed with Randy on both arrangement and her singing; Paula said she hit it off the charts; Simon said it was a brilliant performance.

Performed “If I Can’t Have You” by the Yvonne Elliman - Randy said he’s ready right now and has it majorly going on; Kara said he was brilliant; Paula said she felt his vulnerability and said he’ll be in the finals; Simon said the vocals were immaculate.

Matt Giraud:

Performed “Stayin Alive” by Bee Gees - Randy said he didn’t love the song choice or the arrangement, but that Matt can really sing; Kara said it was a solid performance; Paula said he’s staying; Simon didn’t like it.

Anoop Desai:

Performed “Dim All the Lights” by Donna Summer - Randy said a bit of a rough last note and didn’t love the arrangement, but said he can really sing; Kara thought it was a great song choice; Paula said his vocals were beautiful; Simon said it was mediocre at best and was his worst performance by a mile.
